They had been DJ'ing and producing individually for several years before joining forces in 2002. Since then they have worked hard at producing and DJ'ing and currently they are making a name for themselves by releasing quality tracks on important labels like our very own Istmo Music and DJ Shah's Magic Island; remixing tracks by the likes of Alex Hentze and Heatbeat's Agustin Servente. Welcome back to the Macrosound Podcast. The college semester began a few days ago; that means assignments, tests and less partying (ARGH!); but we promise to keep updating the podcast in a timely manner and continue presenting the best EDM El Salvador and Central America have to offer! For this episode we present a very important DJ in the local scene, he has been DJ'ing for nearly 8 years, experimenting wth several styles until he settled on Minimal Techno & Techno. In 2006; along with Fernando Kriete A.K.A Ferk he founded the record label/event production agency Istmo Music that has consistently presented some of the most important DJ's in the world. He has performed with the likes of Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, SoulClap, ATB, John O'Callaghan and Carl Cox (to name a few) and currently continues to aid in all sorts of initiatives to promote the local scene. The partying continues in August! This year has been great for the EDM scene in El Salvador, and we would like to invite you all to one of the most eagerly anticipated events for this second half of 2008: Smackdown: Summer Sessions.

Smackdown is a party that aims to introduce new people to the local EDM scene as well as catering to people who are already fans. For this occassion Smackdown presents an all-local lineup: Strider, Roberto Moreno and Ofo Nuñez.

Welcome to the Macrosound Podcast. We had been looking forward to uploading a PsyTrance mix since we launched the podcast, and this episode is finally it! The Crisarx was formed by cousins Arnold and Cristian Perez in 2003; since then they have dedicated themselves to producing their own music and promoting the Trance and PsyTrance scenes in El Salvador.
